Goal Post Gala, Boston Mass.

My contribution, Time Out, Menemsha, 40"x 34" oil on panel, 2012, will be featured in the Goal Post Gala silent auction November 15th, 2012 at Four Seasons Hotel, Boston, Ma. Proceeds will go to support the American Urological Association's Foundation and the Robert Krane Urology Research Scholar Fund.

Taking lizzie to a  few interviews in the city this month. Decided to do a little drawing and painting, while I wait. This was done around High Street in Boston.

After working outside in the landscape the past few weeks, it was nice to come inside. Using the palette of artist, Stanley Bielen, I really enjoyed this painting. Somehow the control of light and conditions,without distractions helped me today.  Now I may add a little red into the composition. Will post the final result soon.

Recently I discovered a box of old photos mostly black and white images of my siblings and extended family.

As I looked closely at these, I was flooded with memories that I had totally forgotten.   Backyards, cars, kitchens, beaches etc were all coming back to me..

Now I am painting from these images, and so much emotion for these people and places are coming through in my work. I am really enjoying this series..

Each spring, MassArt's Annual Auction draws a crowd of over 600 collectors. It is the largest annual fundraiser at the school, and helps make scholarships and facilites upgrades possible.
